The

Zeitgeist Project

is about hope. It is about creating foresight and encouraging arete (the ancient Greek notion of striving to reach our potential). This historic initiative seeks to bring together under one roof a society’s most influential leaders, thinkers, and artists so that we do not live with regret.

Collectively we are always on the verge of evolving or devolving. The decisions we make today will define the future. The

Zeitgeist Project

is a non-political initiative to bring together leading influencers of the Zeitgeist to generate foresight by understanding how the Zeitgeist is affecting us.

We must attempt to understand the ideas shaping the Zeitgeist of today so that they do not destroy the Zeitgeist of tomorrow.

The focal point of this initiative is the

National & Global Zeitgeist Assemblies

.

By affecting influencers the

Zeitgeist Project

seeks to act as an agent to advance the collective growth of humanity. The philosophy of the

Zeitgeist Project

is that energy & time spent redressing root causes of national and global issues provides more significant results than merely treating the effects. This is based on the following premises:

• Ideas can be positive but they can also be negative
• Ideas can cause apathy, injustice, and conflict
• Ideas are promulgated by influencers
• Ideas have consequences
• Actions are born from ideas

Influencers have grave responsibilities.
Their ideas will live on . . . long after they die.

The goal is to raise the consciousness and conscience of society by painting a picture of what the future will look like given the current

Zeitgeist Institute

will produce the

Zeitgeist Report

based on the Assembly. This will be distributed to policy makers, artists, government officials, think-tanks, the media, educators, and the UN in order to generate foresight, be preventive, and generate awareness of how we are being influenced by the

Zeitgeist

Given the symbiotic effects of globalization, the international goal of the

Zeitgeist Assembly

is to unite the world’s most influential leaders, thinkers and artists to address the causes that create oppression, dissension, anomie and injustice.

The

Zeitgeist Project

proposes that the betterment of our planet is determinative upon understanding each other and the current

Zeitgeist

by curbing noxious ideas through the help of the world’s

influencers

What does the

Zeitgeist Project

hope to accomplish?

The

Zeitgeist Project

is based on the premise that ideas have consequences. Ideas can be viral & infect society. How we think today will determine the future. The

Zeitgeist Assembly

speaks to the problem that:

• We immunize society but not its collective well-being
• We give money to band-aid solutions without treating the cause
• We want a strong economy but not an economy of ideas
• We demand justice but not for ideas that cause unrest
• We build our monetary reserves yet care little for moral bankruptcy
• We want infrastructure without thought to intellectual highways
• We care about the environment but not what is polluting the collective soul
• We believe a politician’s role is to strengthen the economy, not strengthen the ethos of society
• We think the future of ideas is not our problem

That which divides us can ironically unite us as well. The

Zeitgeist Project

seeks to take the unifying forces that define humanity and channel these forces to create empathy for the purpose of generating compassion. Why? So that the (future) Zeitgeist can be . . .

• A spirit that desires arete
• A spirit of receptivity & peace
• A spirit that values truth above opinions and being right
• A spirit that appropriates the ephemeral nature of our existence
• A spirit that desires to move forward cautiously with foresight
• A spirit that intuitively recognizes that serving others is the most significant means to tranquility

will receive direction from the

Zeitgeist Institute

. This will be led by two advisory boards:

the National Board

International Board

The

International Board

will be comprised of a global network of high-profile individuals, including royalty, heads of state, UN representatives, international business leaders, Nobel Laureates, and other influencers.

The

Canadian National Board

, for example, will be comprised of former political leaders, decision makers, celebrities, university chancellors, presidents of TV networks, authors, Futurists, philosophers, and heads of think-tanks.
